    Show Notes

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris bring you the 2025 Year in Preview! Which games coming in the new year are the most exciting? What will Sony be pivoting to? Is there a dumber subtitle than On the Beach? Could Silksong finally happen? Let’s find out!
At the top of the show, Dan gets used to life post-treatments, and hopes to regain the use of his hands, while Kris contemplates the differences between urinal and gym equipment etiquette!
Finally, in Week Old News, Microsoft hosted a Ninja Gaiden event (there were other games there too), the VGHF digital library gets a launch date, some bad cartoons get some good re-releases, and more. Enjoy!

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris bring you the 10th Annual Golden Caveman Awards! Which games took home the gold? Which games got silly, p;ointless awards? Aren't all these awards pointless, anyway? Let’s find out!
At the top of the show, Dan celebrates his final treatment, and shares his health status and plans for the future. Kris is just tired. But he did have some thoughts to share about the Nintendo Force Hatch Tales Review (that he didn’t write), finally 100% competing Ode to Castlevania, and more!
Finally, in Week Old News, there’s a new Atari 2600 game on the scene, Gimmick gets physical, Mega Man gets the hand-drawn treatment, and oh yeah, Nintendo officially announced the Switch 2. Enjoy!

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris board the SAG Cartoon express for a trip to Hyrule! Yes, they watched a classic episode of The Legend of Zelda cartoon, and it was surprisingly good! How good? Let’s find out!
At the top of the show, Dan is closing in on his penultimate treatment, and Kris continues to make progress at the gym. Sadly, it left very little time for game playing, as Dan’s hands weren’t working so good, and Kris was buried deep in the weeds for his next Mario history video project. But there’s a new Mario World record! That's pretty cool!
Finally, in Week Old News, Activision spent an absurd amount of money on Call of Duty, Mighty No. 9 for 3DS is finally cancelled, Sony’s making more video game movies, and more. Enjoy!

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris catch up with the Alphabet Soup-er Series! It was Kris’s pick for the letter S, and he went with Silent Debuggers for TurboGrafx-16. It’s certainly an interesting game that makes a heck of a first impression, but was there enough under the hood to gain it a good rating? Let’s find out!
At the top of the show, Dan lost his eyelashes, which results in far more gross eye goop than one might expect. He also misses eating sushi a whole lot, but at least he got to put a whole heck of a lot of time into Hades! Meanwhile, Kris took a skeleton on a date in Undertale, played an incredibly janky version of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, bought a new vacuum, and ate an absurdly tall breakfast sandwich. Finally, in Week Old News, it was again an incredibly quiet week, as is wont to happen in January. But the folks who made Anton Blast are happy, the folks who made Apple Vision Pro are sad, and the Toxic Avengers finally get an update. Enjoy!

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris bring you the final 10 20 30 40 of 2024! Were there any good games this month? Well, yes! Turns out the Super NES had a heck of a month, as did the arcade scene back in 1984. Which games were the most notable? Let’s find out! At the top of the show, there once again wasn't nearly as much game playing as either of our hosts would have liked, but there were still stories of electronic mops, Christmas Cookies, Microwave hoods, and a whole lot more! Finally, in Week Old News, there wasn’t a whole lot to report. But we still managed to track down a couple of stories worth talking about. Which ones? You’ll have to listen to find out!

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris tackle the SAG Mailbag! They read your burning questions, and answered them to the best of their ability. Well, they read some of them, because someone sent a LOT of questions! At the top of the show, neither of the guys played many games this week, but they did spend a lot of time talking about the new Superman trailer, Dan’s run-in with a particularly absurd moment at Chipotle, and more! Finally, in Week Old News, Balatro is held to a higher standard than actual gambling mechanics in sports games, Sega thinks it owns music that it doesn’t, Ubisoft is still riding the NFT train, and more!

On this week’s podcast, Dan, Dean, and Kris take a ride on the SAG Cartoon Express for some Double Dragon Action! The topic was the season 2 episode Virtual Reality Bytes, where someone has stolen all the world’s bank money through the use of the information superhighway! Oh no! Clearly the only solution is martial arts action. Will the Dragons succeed? Will our podcasters survive? Let’s find out!
At the top of the show, Kris enjoys the new Tetris games on NSO, and scores a pretty cool Yahtzee in Clubhouse Games, Dan tries the new Marvel Rivals game, Dean becomes obsessed with Balatro and Victory Heat Rally, and more! Finally, in Week Old News, not even Call of Duty players have a stomach for high speed plagiarism, AKA Generative AI, Marvel Rivals gets off to a pretty solid start, The Game Awards dropped some genuinely interesting trailers, and more!

On this week’s podcast, Dan and Kris take the Alphabet Soup-er Series to the next level by adding a rating system lifted directly out of the pages of GamePro magazine, and maybe even rank them all? Who knows! But it’ll be fun!
At the top of the show, Kris spends more time with Plucky Squire, dives into the history of Tetris, sneaks around with a raccoon, and probably nothing else because he got sick. Meanwhile, Dan continued to work on his virtual car, blew stuff up in Shotgun King, and more! Finally, in Week Old News, Animal Crossing gets chocolatey, Ubisoft continues to be a terrible company, Sega unsurprisingly doesn't like it when people try to profit off of their name, and more!
