  • Episode 21 - Not the Gospel
    Jul 18 2024

In today’s episode, the boys discuss some common misunderstandings about popular Bible passages and Christian doctrines that the church very often gets wrong. Building on the principles laid out in last week’s episode (Law-Gospel Distinction), we will rediscover familiar Bible passages and Christian principles that are frequently presented as gospel, but are anything but.

Our journey will take us through various passages in the Bible like the Sermon on the Mount (the Golden Rule) and the two greatest commandments, as well as Christian concepts like faith and repentance, cultural transformation, and evangelism.

Our heart and aim is to put these passages and concepts in their proper place, to the end that we might find a deeper and fuller rest in the finished work of Christ.

  • Episode 19 - Politics and Christianity
    Jun 26 2024

People say, “don't talk about politics and religion.” And so, today we're going to do both. As the elections in England and in the United States draw closer, we want to consider what the Bible has to say about government, the law, and the place of authority.

Along the way we discuss Theonomy, what it is, and why it can often lead to restlessness, as well as how the gospel can provide the solution. We’ll also touch on various forms of political theology. And we will ground it all in God's post-flood covenant with Noah.
