  • Rob Kazinsky on His New Star Trek Film Section 31 and Nerding Out with Guillermo Del Toro
    Feb 4 2025
**Section 31 Spoilers!** Happy Tuesday everyone! Today’s guest is the amazing Rob Kazinsky. Rob and I have never worked together, but we’ve been in the same circles for years and it was such a pleasure to sit down and talk with him! You know Rob from his time as Sean Slater on EastEnders, and from playing Chuck Hansen in Pacific Rim and Orgrim in Warcraft. And now, he is fulfilling my dream and joining the Stark Trek universe. You can currently see him as Zeph in Section 31! We talk about the new movie and the controversy it’s stirring up among the Star Trek faithful. We also just talk about life, including Rob’s autism diagnosis and how he has weathered some challenging moments over the course of his career. I was surprised at how deep we got in such a short time, and I think you’ll enjoy this conversation! Be sure to stick around for the Hindsight, where producer Jeph and I discuss the episode and open up the Mail Sack for some fan emails. If you want to join me at the Indiana Comic Convention, I'll be there March 14-16! • Alexandra Breckenridge on How “Cozy” Virgin River Became a Surprise Hit
    Jan 28 2025
Hi everyone! Today’s episode was such a treat. I have known Alexandra Breckenridge since we were babies in the industry— we did a pilot together called Locust Valley almost 25 years ago. Since then, Alexandra has had an unbelievable career. She played Jessie Anderson on The Walking Dead, Sophie Larson on This Is Us and now she’s doing amazing work as Melinda Monroe on Virgin River. We talk about what it takes to build resiliency as an actor and why we both ultimately decided to leave California. I gotta say, she lives on a beautiful farm in Georgia and if you don’t already follow her on Instagram, you definitely should. Be sure to stick around for the Hindsight, where producer Jeph and I give an update on the fires in LA and read your pitches for how I can brand a day of the week for Bo-Katan (Fracked-Up Fridays, anyone?). • Mark-Paul Gosselaar on Coming into His Own after Saved by the Bell
    Jan 21 2025
If you're looking for ways to help those impacted by the Los Angeles fires, you can do so here: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-01-08/how-to-help-victims-of-pacific-palisades-eaton-and-hurst-fires Hey everyone! My guest this week is the one and only Mark-Paul Gosselaar. That’s right— it’s Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell! Teenage me would be absolutely FREAKING OUT. Of course, Mark-Paul has had a long and super-impressive career since his heartthrob days and we get into all of it. From Franklin & Bash to Pitch to his current role as Hugh "Sir" Evans on NBC's Found, he really has an unbelievable range. Plus, we also talk about our shared love of motorcycles (or maybe former love?), racing and fitness. The two of us could do a whole podcast about the glories of a cold plunge and sauna, but we TRY to control ourselves. After my conversation with Mark-Paul, be sure to stick around for the Hindsight where my producer Jeph and I discuss health trends, our sleep habits and the pros and cons of splurging on a fancy mattress. • Lou Diamond Phillips on Longmire, La Bamba and Near-Death Experiences in Hollywood
    Jan 14 2025
Happy Tuesday everyone! If you don’t know this week’s guest, then I don’t know what to tell you. Lou Diamond Phillips is a Hollywood Institution and I can’t believe I get to call him my friend. I had such a crush on Lou in Young Guns and it still blows my mind I got to act with him all these years later on Longmire, where he played Henry Standing Bear. He’s had an incredible career, from La Bamba and Stand and Deliver, to countless TV and film roles— and let me tell you, Lou’s got some STORIES. We get into all of it, from the legendary dinners he cooked on the set of Longmire to his transition from bad boy to girl dad. You’re not gonna want to miss this one! And as always, stick around for the hindsight, where I answer fan questions, try out a new stripper name and unveil a special surprise for one of our guests! • Emily Swallow on Finding The Way, on The Mandalorian and in Life
    Jan 7 2025
Hey Everyone! Man, I love today’s guest. You know Emily Swallow as the Armorer on The Mandalorian, as well as from her many years on Supernatural. She is one of my absolute favorite humans— she’s wise, funny and a total badass! We discuss all things Star Wars, from convention life, to keeping plot secrets, to the challenges of acting in a helmet. We also have a great conversation about the role that faith plays in her acting and the way she has used her platform to help kids fighting cancer, through the organization Voices Against Cancer. Be sure to stick around for the Hindsight, where producer Jeph and I debate Daylight Savings and answer fan questions from the mail sack! • Katee Breaks Down the Most Talked-About Moments of The Sackhoff Show 2024
    Dec 31 2024
Hey everyone, what a year! On this bonus Hindsight, producer Jeph and I go over some of the highlights of this year’s show. From Paul Sun-Hyung Lee’s quest for his own action figure to Jewel Staite on posting sexy photos as a mom, there is a LOT to talk about! Plus, we revisit the most controversial clip of the year, when Ming Na Wen and I discussed how I could possibly NOT KNOW I was in a scene with Luke Skywalker and R2-D2. Jeph and I debate the pros and cons of living forever and brainstorm how to (finally!) get me into the Star Trek universe. Thank you everyone for an amazing year and get ready for big things to come in 2025! • Katee Sackhoff Talks Christmas Traditions and Hallmark's Christmas Sail
    Dec 24 2024
Happy Holidays, everyone! On today’s special, extended Hindsight episode, Jeph and I are joined by our most-requested guest... Robin! Robin has written not one but three Hallmark movies, and we got to work together on his first one: Christmas Sail. We walked Jeph through the process of how that came to be and if we'll ever do another. And it wouldn’t be a Christmas episode without a debate about Die Hard (we settle it once and for all: Jeph is wrong), and we talk through some of your comments about your least-favorite Christmas traditions and what you’re hoping to find under the tree— good sex, apparently! Grab a mug of mulled wine and get cozy with us! Send me an email thesackhoffshow@gmail.com Produced by Rabbit Grin Productions Mail Sack Song by Nicolas @producer_sniffles

  • Paulina Porizkova on aging “disgracefully” and finding love after loss
    Dec 17 2024
Hey everyone! I don’t want to brag but I’m friends with more than one super model. My guest today is one of them. Paulina Porizkova is a gorgeous human being inside and out. She is truly one of the most inspiring, honest, authentic people I know. I was supposed to talk to her about her book No Filter a few months ago but that didn’t happen…you’ll find out why in the episode. But we got a chance to talk about it on this episode amongst a whole lotta other things like grief, sharing yourself on social media, and one of my favorite topics, aging as a woman. Be sure to stick around for the hindsight where producer Jeph and I talk vulnerability, cargo shorts, and more F1 than he can probably handle.
