  • The Artist Insight with guest Carol McGinnis Yeje
    Nov 11 2024

Carol McGinnis Yeje is Paul's guest on this episode of The Artist Insight Podcast. Carol has been writing and ministering in music throughout Georgia and other states since the early 70's. She is an 'activist' for the family and has held meetings and press conferences through her non-profit organization 'Guiding Action Through Education' [in the 90's], informing the community on issues that affect the family.

Written in 1972, "I Want Us To Be Together In Heaven" has been recorded in over twenty-five states and in Canada. The song was in the top ten on the Southern Gospel Charts by the Principals for many months... AND is the only song to have been in the top 20 by two different groups [The Principals and The Inspirations] for many months...AND is the only song to have been in the Top 80 by three different groups [The Principals, The Inspirations, and the Singing Cooks].

Carol is a Radio/TV Producer and has hosted several radio 'talk' shows, and her own cable TV Show, 'Carol Mc's Family Hour', which received top ratings during its two year run. Both radio and TV shows had interviews with pro-family leaders. The TV show also featured her own 'Gospel Music Videos', and local amateur children's talent. She also has authored several books that are available online and on ebook, including: "Raised Up Hard in the Georgia Pines", and "Family Comes First".

Carol chose to re-release many songs that were on her 1986 album, and include some old and some new songs. Her re-make of 'You'll Never Defeat Us', is 'framed' around the daily news reports of 'alkida' threats. 'No One's Gathering' was written after the death of her father. 'Sounds Like Home To Me' was written after the death of her sister, Helen. Carol had previously lost her Mom, Dad, Brother, and Oldest Sister.

Carol lives in her hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia, with her husband, Elias. Learn more about Carol's music and ministry at her Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/caroltalkingtruth and her website, http://www.carolmc.net/

  • The Artist Insight with guest Nathaniel Chapman
    Nov 4 2024

Singer/songwriter and recording artist Nathaniel Chapman is the guest on this episode of The Artist Insight. He is a native of the Pacific Northwest, and since 2015 has released three full length albums, with his most recent being Testimony, which released in June 2024.

Nathaniel talks with host Paul Gibbs about his personal Christian walk and shares bits of wisdom he has picked up along the way from various teachers, pastors, friends and peers. Desiring to not only call others into the Word of God, but also himself, Nathaniel's lyrics are both introspective, retrospective as well as extrospective. His hope is that those who hear his songs will have a desire to draw closer to the Savior, and mature in their walk of faith.

  • The Artist Insight with guest Bill Mullin
    Oct 30 2024

Podcast host Paul Gibbs talks with songwriter and producer Bill Mullin in this episode about "The Next Humanity", "A vulnerable, thoughtful Musical Memoir to see yourself & own your story". From The Next Humanity website, this project is "... an artistic collaborative. That is what The Next Humanity is. It is like revealing the ingredients of a recipe, while trying to reach for the taste, without being able to begin to describe that combination. One may be inclined to just use lots of adjectives. But no, collaboratives are meant to be experienced. We hope you like the taste..... As a collaborative, The Next Humanity assembly of cast and crew create a synergy to have the work gain a life of its own. "
