  • Summary

  • The slap you in your face, stop you in your tracks, colour run from your face moment that changed everything.

Six speakers from across the globe unravel the moment that redefined how they perceive themselves and how they view the world, put together with arresting sound design. These aren't stories of individuals making decisions that inadvertently changed the course of their lives. These are completely unexpected, shake-you-awake moments of radical realisation. One that they didn't see coming, and told exclusively in their own words.

What's with the sound effects?

Some really interesting stories completely ruined by a random selection of sound effects, and pieces of music.

Very Good Stories

Very revealing stories: based on anxiety, sadness, extreme situations. All well told and interesting to listen to. I would listen to more of them.

Unclear moments of truth?

Interesting narratives but not life changing for all. Background noises suppose to enhance most irritating.

Annoying

Some of the orators were annoyingly hesitant speakers but that's just my taste, still good

Not quite what I was hoping for...

didn't find many of the stories pivotal or inspirational unfortunately. The 2 stories involving the doctors were fascinating and inspiring. the others not so much or not at all. some strange sound effects used unnecessarily too - echoing voices for example.

An interesting listen

I did enjoy this, it was an interesting exercise listening to ordinary people and the moments that changed their lives. Clearly each moment meant a huge amount to each person, but there were only one or two that really struck me. Mark's and Jon's were really touching, and I thought that Scout's was an interesting comment on the way mental health issues are seen.

I found it a little boring if I'm honest, sorry!

I usually love hearing peoples life stories and have enjoyed all previous 'real life' story podcasts but this one wasn't the greatest pick of the bunch, I found them quite boring other than Severine which made me very sad, and I was quite happy when they were all finished, maybe it was just me though.

Informational.

These were interesting and informational great for people interested in social work especially "Scout". Severine I found was the best and saddest story.
