  • Forgiveness: Introduction
    Aug 18 2022

We sometimes take the subject of forgiveness for granted. It is an incredible grace of God. It cost Him so that we could be forgiven. We have to esteem forgiveness. We cannot take lightly the sufferings of Christ that enabled this gift of forgiveness to all who believe upon Him. Without forgiveness we are not saved. When we're talking about forgiveness, we cannot help but know that forgiveness and repentance are bound together with God's cords of love.

Jesus willingly bore the greatest sacrifice, so that we might be blessed with his life.  How can we ever understand such an incredible expression of love? What love can ever compete with this sacrificial love of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?   This matter of forgiveness is so beautiful, but yet so profound, and so serious, how can we ever know the depth of such a love that was revealed to the world. A love that burned with a passion for the world that lived in sin and it lost intimacy with God, forgiveness has opened the door for us to be intimate with God.  God has demonstrated his love for the whole world. While all the whole world were yet sinners, a world that had sinned against God. He demonstrated His love by providing forgiveness, by the way of the blood of His cross.

The wages of sin is death, but God's love. God's love is so amazing, so kind, so saturated with compassion and mercy and grace, that he provided that which man could not provide for himself.  God has signed a signature that you belong to Him. God has given a seal - He stamped your life, divinely with the Holy Spirit.  It is the Holy Spirit in us that is the seal that we belong to God. That came by the way of forgiveness.

  • The Disciple: The Two Paths
    Jul 28 2022

Pastor Theo shares with us from studying early church leaders about the importance of discipleship along with the demonstration and power of The Holy Spirit that reveals The Father through The Son. The true disciple of Christ’s heart has only one way of life - a singular pursuit of Jesus keeping one’s soul fixed Heavenward. The two paths or two schools for a disciple is either darkness or light - Jesus or the accuser. You either take the path of harmony, light and light through the direction and unction of The Holy Spirit or the path of death, darkness and separation. We must prioritize Jesus first by expressing our love back to Him as He has loved us pursuing unity with the Heart of Christ.

We have been spending the last several episodes in and discussing The Disciple Book from the Global Discipleship Course by Pastor Theo and The Jesus Center (FL).

  • The Disciple: Foundations of Discipleship
    Jul 21 2022

As we continue in The Disciple book from the Global Discipleship Course, Pastor Theo lays out some of the foundations of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. It all begins with being born again and placing our trust in Jesus and Him crucified. We do not trust in our old self or old actions as they are of the world. Because of His love in us, we are able to love others through the power of The Holy Spirit and Jesus said people would know His disciples by their love. The Word of God set forth The Father's heart and reveals the living Christ. As a disciple matures, of course, discipleship includes building up the new believer. We also discuss aspects of chapter 6 from The Disciple Book titled, "Are You The One."
