  • 53. Practical Homestead Goal Setting for Moms with Little Kids
    Dec 30 2024

It’s that time again, we are turning a page into a new year and with that comes some new goals. And I’m not just talking about new year's resolutions that get broken after the first month. I’m talking about well-thought out goals that give actionable steps, followed throughout the year so you can look back and see how much progress you’ve made when the year is done. But, maybe like me, you’re feeling a bit stuck in your goal setting, because there are things that you want to do, but your goals seem so unachievable with little kids at home. How could you possibly learn or take on something new on top of caring for these littles ones? Today, I want to share some encouragement on how we can learn new things and achieve both our personal and homesteading goals even as busy moms with little kids.

I hope that you find this episode inspiring towards what the new year might bring for your family. And just a reminder during this process, let go of the guilt and the comparison in your goal setting. Set goals that are realistic for you in the season and circumstances that God has placed you in. Focus on the task that God has placed in front of you for this year, and be proud of your own accomplishments as you work towards creating a better life for yourself and your family this year. I pray that God would give you wisdom in the areas you should work towards and that you can use goal setting to reduce overwhelm when it comes to building your homestead. Thank you so much for joining me!

  • 52. 3 Ways to Stop Relying on Supply Chain and Be More Self-sufficient
    Dec 23 2024

Have you ever stopped to think of how dependent we are on supply chain for just about everything, from groceries, to household essentials? It can be kind of a scary thought to think about what would happen if we couldn’t just go to the store and get what we need when we need it. We have become so dependent on our system that we very rarely think about these things, but if something were to happen that would disrupt supply chain, what would happen to your family? Would you be prepared? Would you be able to extend help and compassion to others that were less prepared? Today, in today’s episode, I share 3 ways that we can stop relying on supply chain and become more self-sufficient, so we can have confidence in knowing that we have done our own diligence to be prepared for whatever life has in store.

I hope you find this episode really helpful in showing you how you can take steps towards self-sufficency. I pray that God would give you peace in knowing that he is the ultimate provider and we don’t need to worry about what the future holds for us. Thank you so much for joining me!
