The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Monday Blues

Crazy, I walk into the podcast room first this morning, and the computer screen is black. Hit the keyboard, nothing, hmm, is it dead ? Plug it in, still nothing. Hit the button, again nothing, it's dead. Scramble for 30 minutes, go get the laptop, but oh man this this is a brick ? Welcome to the Monday Blues, I even brought the music back today.

But talking shooting, it's about the high mounts right now. Using the 2.0 Unity mounts vs something shorter. We'll see how it goes as this is all new.

Next up, Shot Show this week, I am getting ready to head to Vegas for the show. What do you want to see, HideTV can bring it to ya?

Finally we are sponsoring a team moving forward. So look for us to sponsor a shooting team.

Snipers Hide Cup in November at Rifles Only.

Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper podcast.

Welcome to 2025 & The Everyday Sniper Podcast with myself and Chris Way from RifleKraft. After what seemed like way too much work, I finally have the systems in place. And by Systems in place, we can now bring you content, either Audio via the Podcast, or Video via Youtube, Facebook, or now The Hide TV, we can. We can now successfully simulcast to all your favorite social media.

Karma Shootra video is live on Hide TV and in this episode of the podcast we discuss the high points of that video. So be sure to check out Hide TV.

I'm really excited about 2025, and I think we have the tools in place to bring you some first class content. We are operating on all cylinders now after some of the technical difficulties.

It's about exploring the art and science of long range precision rifle shooting.

Thanks to everyone who was on the live with us, we will be live more often especially during the winter months. We can also go live on the Hide while at the Range, so live fire.

  • The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Jacob and Frank Back to Rifles Only for the Cup
    Dec 19 2024

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Jacob and Frank Back to Rifles Only for the Cup

In 2025 we are going back to Rifles Only for the final Sniper's Hide Cup. Yes you heard that right, Nov 8th 2025, just before the USMC Birthday we ending the Sniper Hide Cup.

Always great to talk to Jacob, we have a lot of fun discussing stuff.

This podcast is a bit all over the place, my fault, I messed up my computer big time trying to do this simulcast thing so when I logged in to do this podcast, nothing worked and I needed Jacob's audio. I'm a mess...

But Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a great holiday. Hope you season ended strong.

  • The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Simulcast Hell

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Simulcast Hell

I am trying to simulcast this podcast to multiple destinations without using third party paid apps, but clearly that is not happening because the final product sounds like shit to me. All the feeds except the Vimeo Video one sounds like crap to me. The sound was doing that underwater thing. But if you are good with this podcast, the topics I covered were pretty light.

    PRS Divisions

    Area419 One Piece Mount

This was two tries at this today and clearly my stuff is not correct to pull off a multiple destination cast.

If you go to the direct Vimeo video it's the best sound. Crazy right

Heck I bought a hardware product to do this and even that doesn't work on Mac correctly.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: PreGame Thanksgiving Day Special

    Happy Thanksgiving Charlie Brown !

It's the day before the holidays and we have some thoughts over here at the Everyday Sniper Podcast. First off, don't forget to check out Hide TV this podcast is simulcast over there live, now with video.

I begin the show talking about Black Friday Specials, we sent out a Giant Email with some Black Friday deals. Lots of great stuff to buy for the upcoming new year. Then I go into the SG Timer 2 from Shooter's Global.

The Shooters Global Timer is complete system which integrates with your phone to manage your shooting and training. We'll have a video and review on Sniper's Hide, but needless to say we are big fan of timers, and the SG Timer 2 worked really well for us.

Next, I am big fan of where Area419 has come from, these guys have grown into a powerhouse company. I have their precision scope mount here and the entire package is awesome. We'll have more details on the Area419 stuff. I really think they hit the next level of precision rifle gear.

    My big reveal,

I am going to sponsor a shooting team. I go Into some details, and where my head is with this, but I think I am gonna help some new shooters.

I am thinking I can even host a virtual team. Help them training and mentor them online. Using the Hide TV resources I believe I can create a virtual shooting team situation where they can learn and grow.

Happy Holidays everyone, Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.

  • The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Marine Corps Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Marine Corps Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation

105 Years of Scout Sniper History is being uncovered by the Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation !

Today I have Tim Parkhurst on the phone, President of the Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation, and I have to say, this interview was super fun and beyond interesting. The Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation is creating a Memorial to the fallen Scout Snipers from World War I to Present Day. Unfortunately, this Awesome Sculpture will cost $3 Million Dollars so we need to raise a lot of money.

If you head over the Foundation Website which is linked all over this post, you can see the Sculpture Concept, as well as the thinks to help raise money.

    Scout Sniper History !

The Heritage Foundation is also very heavily researching our Scout Sniper History. Very little is known about USMC Scout Sniper prior to Vietnam. However we have a robust and organized history going back to World War I, who knew.

Please Help Us Raise $3 Million Dollars for this Sculpture and Memorial, there is an M40 Raffle taking place right now. This one of kind rifle is assembled from parts found that are Vietnam Vintage.

    https://scoutsniperheritage.org/scout-sniper-war-memorial-fundraiser/

We have multiple ways to support this project, so find the one that suits you can lets get this built !

  • The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Get out and Vote!
    Nov 4 2024

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Get out and Vote!

The day before one of the most important elections in our nations history. Get out and vote if you have not done so already, it's super important. I want to make sure I don't overlook this request, vote.

But in this podcast I am also live on HideTV.

I wanted to practice simulcasting the Podcast with the Hide TV channels.

But I follow up with some more Major Land discussion. I want to talk packs and managing your gear. Gear management is huge, doesn't matter, military, law enforcement, hunters and competition shooters all need to manage their gear correctly. In this case, context matters.

I am thinking about going modular with gear management. I think the time is right to focus on how we carry our equipment. We'll be addressing this over the next couple of months.

Thanks for listening thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper podcast.

How do you manage your carry, how are you carrying your rifle, your bags, your ammo ?

During this off season take a look at your data management as well as gear management

  • The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over
    Oct 27 2024

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over

As one door closes another door opens. With Training Season over, we enter podcast & livestream season.

I want to start off by thanking everyone who attended training with us in 2024. This was a super successful season, we saw the return of Marc Taylor and entry of Chris Way with our classes. We also had a lot of support and help from Laura during some tough times both recently and in the past. So again thank you to everyone who made it work in 2024.

Ended the season in a couple of locations, we did 2 classes in Ohio then I did a class and a clinic in Virginia finally ending our season in Fort Morgan with an Army Section. Each class had its own unique challenges that in the end, opened my mind to new possibilities.

We tested a lot of variations for classes as well as several tools like using a Starlink system to access the internet on the range. All these tools will enhance the Hide TV experience which is my end goal. On top of providing the very best training possible.

With Podcast season starting up, expect at least 2 episodes a week and at least one of them to be simulcast live on Hide TV. These will have lesson, guest speakers and more. Hide TV is moving forward, we are super happy with the progress and the reception.

    To all from US,

Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thank for interacting and being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.
