  • I refer to the "devil you know" as the familiarity trap for 1 simple reason : we choose to deal with the devil we are familiar with instead of facing the unknown. For some of us, dealing with something that we don't yet know how to handle, that we allow that fear to keep us in stagnation.

    Because we know what to expect in this place, we feel safe. The issue is that if we never make any attempts to try something new, we aren't allowing ourselves to be challenged- which is how we grow. Hence , the anti-growth environment.
