Great historical detective work

Real life, bizarre and forgotten stories from Cornwall's history. Found and narrated by The Cornish bird, who has a relaxing and skillful voice, From peculiar shipwrecks, pirates and smugglers to the 'proper teasy' tales of ghostly sightings, Bodmin asylum patients, cousin jack adventures, interviews with wizards, 1837 village riots, mermaids, snail showers, piskie parties, forgotten treasures, to 'gurt licker' stone circles. Always taking great care to gather as much information, not just from their armchair, but taking us on actual adventures around Cornwall. The Cornish bird uncovers astonishing evidence, helping us bring the characters and history back to life.

Delightfully pleased to support The Cornish Bird. Even if you don't live here, the stories are still fascinating accounts of British history.
