    Barbara Wheeler is nature photographer with a strong emphasis on wild horses. Barbara started photographing as a youngster with her Brownie camera, never dreaming that some forty years later she would spend a good share of her time immersed in photography. In 1998, Barbara insisted her life partner, Marty get a hobby. He chose photography and enrolled in a class. She went along to keep him company and the rest is history. They spent their first years as bird and wildlife photographers and have had their images published in periodicals, books, and online magazines. In the course of spending thousands of hours in the field, they discovered the wild mustangs. At first, it was an on and off love but grew to a passion. For over 20 years, they spent weeks to months with the wild horses and visited 68 herds all over the US, many of them multiple times. They feel it is the responsibility of photographers and other wild horse observers to educate the public on wild horses. After a lot of soul searching, She has decided to close her business at the end of 2024.
