1838, London. Panic is spreading on the English capital. The reason? A monster, an almost mythical creature making very real victims, mostly women. His name? Jack... The other Jack who terrified Londoners, some 50 years before his infamous namesake, Jack the Ripper.
With bright red eyes and long metallic claws, and a knack to jump over walls and buildings, he terrified London and England during almost a century, making the headlines in the news. Urban legend, hoax, media phenomenon and folklore figure, Spring-Heeled Jack leaped through the 19th century and its many facets. His story is also the story of the the United Kingdom leaving the times of ghosts and rural beliefs behing to make way for an industrial revolution.
