  • Episode 40: The Tsuchinoko & The Port Chatham Hairy Man | Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast
    Jul 19 2020

On Episode 40 of the Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast Sara & Jeff are back at Rougarou Studios to talk about the Tsuchinoko and the Port Chatham Hairy Man.

We start the show with Jeff being very clear about how he feels about racists and bigots listening to the show, and then we get into a possible Sasquatch encounter in Oregon from Jeff's friend Donny. Donny is a truck driver and had pulled into a rest area just across the Oregon border when he witnessed something that still makes the hair on his arms stand up. After the encounter story we get into the news, including a tree branch Jesus miracle, aggressive honey bees in Joshua Tree, and robotic birds out of Germany.

In the first main segment, Sara dives into the history and characteristics of the Tsuchonoko, a Japanese snake-like cryptid that is thought to be short, with a wide body, and highly venomous with fangs and venom similar to a viper.

After Sara's serpentine story, Jeff digs into the Port Chatham Hairy Man. After the residents of the town of Portlock, Alaska up and skedaddled in the 1940's, people began to tell stories of missing people, hunters turning up in pieces, and of a large, Bigfoot-like creature that terrorized the township. And what happened when a team of Bigfoot hunters ventured inland recently to uncover evidence of the Hairy Man?

We hope you enjoy our "campfire stories" and we will be back to our normal format starting again on Episode 40**

On Episode 39 of the Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast Sara & Jeff are back at Rougarou Studios with Paxton and Madelyn to sit around our virtual campfire and tell some spooky campfire stories.

  • Episode 38: The Time Traveling Tomb, Bigfoot FBI Files & Bigfoot Conspiracies
    May 20 2020

On Episode 38 of the Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast Sara & Jeff are back at Rougarou Studios to discuss a London's Time Traveling Tomb, The Bigfoot FBI Files, and Bigfoot Conspiracies.

We start off the podcast at a closer distance now that some restrictions have been lifted to discuss the news, including a T-Rex Walking Club, Quarantine Ghost Sightings, Sword Fighting in Kansas, and early man vs meteorites.

After the news, Sara digs into the Time Traveling Tomb in London. In the middle of Brompton Cemetery in London stands a tomb surrounded by trees and was erected in the early 1850s, intended to be the final resting place of a woman named Hannah Courtoy and two of her three daughters, Mary and Elizabeth. However, for many visitors to the cemetery, the tomb’s missing key and lack of access have led some to believe that something strange is going on inside—that it's secretly a time machine.

During the second part of the show, Jeff starts off talking about the FBI files that were released last year, and the unfortunate reality that they found nothing of note. However, the fact remains that the FBI found Bigfoot to be intriguing enough to look into and it also led to the Bigfoot conspiracy rabbit hole Jeff fell into. Is Bigfoot an alien? Do Sasquatch bury their dead? Is Bigfoot out there banging cows in the fields? We get INTO it on Episode 38.

  • Episode 37: The Glimmer Man & The Winchester Mystery House | Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast
    Apr 14 2020

On Episode 37 of the Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast Sara & Jeff are back at Rougarou Studios to discuss a The winchester Mystery House and The Glimmer Man.

We start off the podcast at a safe social distance with the news, including including an unmasked Bigfoot, Pablo Escobar's Hippos, and a trifecta of bad shit.

After the news, Sara fills us in on the weird and wonderful Winchester Mystery House. During the lockdown, several museums are offering free virtual tours, and the Winchester Mystery House is one of them. After the death of her husband, Sarah Winchester spent the rest of her life building what would eventually become a 7-story mansion in San Jose, Ca. Many believe that her designs came from her communications with the dead spirits of the people killed by the Winchester family's "victims".

Them Jeff digs into his new favorite cryptid, The Glimmer Man. There is still little known about The Glimmer Man, a creature that many believe has cloaking capabilities similar to the Predator, from the movie series. Is The Glimmer Man an alien? Human soldiers in a secret government government project? Or is the Predator actually stalking the forests of North America? We go into stories of the Glimmer Man and what this creature may actually be.

  • Episode 36: Mothman & The Squonk | Bigfoot,King of the Forest Podcast
    Mar 22 2020

On Episode 36 of the Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast Sara & Jeff are back at Rougarou Studios to discuss a mostly unknown Cryptid, the Squonk & one of the most well-known Cryptids of all time, The Mothman.

We start off the podcast at a safe social distance with the news, including Walmart live births, large naked women running amok, and why size matters for Narwals...

After the news, Sara fills us in on the legend of the Squonk, a little known Cryptid that cries itself into a puddle of goo.

Them Jeff digs into a subject he has been itching to talk about for a long time, the Mothman legend. What is the Mothman? Is it a Cryptid? An Alien? And is it a harbinger of bad things to come? We discuss the history of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the disasters that have befallen the region, and how this may all be tied back to a Native American curse.

  • Episode 35: Curse of Atuk & Missing 411 | Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast
    Feb 9 2020

On Episode 35 of the Bigfoot, King of the Forest Podcast Sara & Jeff are back at Rougarou Studios to discuss The Curse of Atuk & other movie-related curses along with the High Strangeness that is Missing 411 Cases.

We kick the episode off talking about what's been happening the past month or so, including some new podcasts from Rougarou Studios (see show notes), the Biggest Little Farm documentary, and how Jeff is no Matthew McConaughey.

After the news, Sara jumped right into the Curse of Atuk & other movie curses. Atuk is the name of an un-filmed American film screenplay, intended to be a film adaptation based upon the 1963 novel The Incomparable Atuk by Canadian author Mordecai Richler. The weird thing is every actor - from John Belushi who was the original casting to Sam Kinison, John Candy, and Chris Farley were all attached to the project at the time of their deaths.

We also get into curses related to "Poltergeist", "The Passion of the Christ", and other films that have seen tragedy befall those connected. Is there any validity to these curses, or are they just coincidences?

During the second part of the show, Jeff dives into the High Strangeness that is Missing 411 cases. Missing 411 is an informal classification that documents missing person cases that fit a number of criteria, most notably those cases involving individuals that are known to be outdoors people, hikers, and hunters that go missing in our national parks. We discuss different notable cases, David Paulides, and whether there is some connection between Missing 411, our cave systems, and even Sasquatch.

Below is an image showing the Missing 411 cases on top with our major cave systems on the bottom:

And below are notable Bigfoot sightings on top with that same Missing 411 map on the bottom:

The correlations are interesting, to say the least.
