We welcome to the stage one of our hosts here, of course, one Mr. Joseph A. Simon from the Law Offices of Joseph A. Simon. Joe, we're back! We're back on a beautiful fall evening, and let's hope it segues into a great fall night. So this is really an important game, maybe more important than at any time, even though the records aren't what we'd want them to be on either side. All right, Joe, one more time. Tell everyone about the law offices of Joseph A. Simon. So we are nothing but a criminal defense law firm. It's all we do from misdemeanor game day offenses, traffic offenses, all the way up to serious felony cases. You can find us at themichigandefenders. com.

Good evening to the Maize & Blue faithful. Tonight's edition of This Week in Michigan Football, as always, draws inspiration from none other than the legendary voice of Michigan football, the one and only Bob Ufer. Ufer's energy, his electric enthusiasm, and his undeniable passion for Wolverine football were simply unmatched. Though we lost Ufer in his battle with cancer on this day in 1981, his spirit lives on. Alive in our hearts, our minds, and through the echoes of the unforgettable broadcasts that still reverberate around campus today as we tailgate, and will continue for generations. When Eufer uttered, Michigan, he was channeling the grand old man of Michigan football himself, Fielding H. Yost. Yost, a native West Virginian, never quite lost that Southern twang.

This week in Michigan football history with Professor Greg Dooley. Today, your beloved Wolverines take part in a celebration in Champaign, as Illinois honors the 100th anniversary of the dedication of Memorial Stadium. But this date is much bigger than that historic building, and that's because of what happened on this day exactly a century plus one day in 1924. Michigan was the Illini's guest for that special day, and what happened in the game was one of the greatest performances in football history.

Joining us from a very secret, undisclosed location is our counselor and host of Joe's Garage, where we will finally return next Saturday afternoon is Joe Simon. In great football irony, this Michigan team that has performed so poorly in the second half of games now enters the second half of the season with a critical need to perform much better than they did in the first half. While the bye week may have arrived at the perfect time, uncertainty remains, particularly on offense. You can find us at the Michigan defenders.com any criminal defense need any criminal investigation and all, and also expungements to clear a criminal history.

We have our good friend Joe Simon joining us now and I have to admit, it's been a great privilege to have so many games consecutively in the garage, but yeah, you're right, and it's sad because what a perfect fall day. It would have been such a great environment. You can find us at themichigandefenders.com, and like I always say, nobody ever thinks they need to know a criminal defense attorney, but life takes funny turns. So, if you or a loved one are in that situation, that's where you can find us at themichigandefenders.com

This week in Michigan football history with Professor Greg Dooley. Tonight, we travel way out west for an unlikely rematch of last year's national championship game...and of course, welcome the Washington Huskies to the Big Ten. U-Dub's pigskin history dates all the way back to 1889, and have played at their home stadium since 1920. But we save this evening for a more traditional conference opponent. I'm talking about Mrs. Steve Clark's beloved Hawkeyes, in a game played just after World War II in 1946.

This week in Michigan football history with Professor Greg Dooley. Well, well, well, we have a lot to cover this morning, so hang on to your maize and blue fedoras. We send a birthday salute to none other than old 98 himself, 1940 Heisman winner Tom Harmon. Today also falls on the day of one of his greatest games, September 28th, 1940 against Cal. This day is historic for another reason, as it marked the Michigan coaching debut of the great Fielding H. Yost against Albion College back 123 years ago in 1901.
