In 2018 Dr Ronx joined as a presenter on the Bafta award winning CBBC children’s show Operation Ouch. Essential listening especially for health care providers
I’m LOVING this series, even though it’s harrowing to hear people’s stories and lived experience. There’s so much to learn and unlearn here from so many angles. I will be recommending widely. All women and AFAB folk should listen to this. It’s so validating as well as infuriating. Thank God for Dr Ronx and ask their guests and collaborators here 💜

Should be mandatory listening
Next time someone tells me we’re done with “the equality project”, I’ll refer them to this podcast.

Outstanding, well researched, important
I am left slightly shaken and emotional after listening to this series of this podcast. The issues raised are ones that have all affected me personally. I am a cis white, neurodivergent woman with a genetic condition that has meant I have a complex medical history and many conditions that require medical help. I have experience of many, many, many examples of a patriarchal, misogynistic, doctor knows best approach to medicine, which have left me feeling distrustful and skeptical of doctors, I now go into every appointment expecting a battle, with an expectation that I will not be believed. It shouldn’t be like this. I thank the team so much who did this podcast, it should be mandatory listening for all medical professionals. An outstanding piece of work.

Everyone needs to listen!
Eye opening. Each episode unveils so many areas that are problematic in the healthcare industry for oppressed genders. Everyone should listen to this to learn and understand just how shocking procedures and systems are, despite living in 2023. If you don’t believe in sexism… give this a listen and you will change your mind!

Essential listening!
Thank you to Dr Ronx for shedding light on what is a massive scandal affecting everyone assigned female at birth. I’m shocked but not shocked because it’s very relatable! This podcast highlights how much needs to change & how.

Horrifying
This should be mandatory listening for all healthcare staff. I've also had an experience similar to these and it shouldn't be happening in 2023. Women and AFAB people deserve better.

Messy use of language
An important topic that I have previously read about and was looking forward to revisiting but struggled to follow in this podcast due to the almost random use of AFAB, female and woman with no context as to what population each study discussed actually covered. I stopped listening at the point “non-men” was used as this is an almost meaningless term. You cannot discuss sexed differences in biology without references to that biology. Social attitudes may vary by gender (although this is unclear in the podcast as terms are not used in a consistent manner) but sex disaggregated data is still important.
