With only half of the players available, the remaining characters embark on a side quest, hoping to find a way to make peace with the Punjar Thieves' Guild.

We are playing the Dungeon Crawl Classics Core Rules and using "Punjar: the Tarnished Jewel" by Harley Stroh as a guide to the setting.

The dungeon is homebrewed and inspired by Robert E. Howard's "Tower of the Elephant" and Fritz Leiber's tale "Thieves' House."

Judge Will and players Bryan and Dave get together to talk about playing Dungeon Crawl Classics #77, The Croaking Fane by Michael Curtis.

The party finally finds the kidnapped merchants and faces off against the priests of the Salientian Knot before coming face-to-face with the true might of Schaphigroadaz!

The party makes its way into the undercroft of the Croaking Fane where they learn more about the bizarre and cruel rites of the Cult of Schaphigroadaz (pronounced a dozen different ways). They encounter dangerous traps, horrifying creatures, and you guessed it, more toads. On the way back to Punjar, the party found that the Inn on the edge of the Great Black Swamp was destroyed and all those who dwelt there kidnapped by lizardfolk. Under the guidance of local swamp person Cleetus, the party now finds themselves outside the great stone doors of The Croaking Fane!
