  • Welcome to our new show, which is the same as the last show but about different shows! This one's about The Acolyte! As always, Julia and Becca are here in the name of character, theme, and plot analysis. Goofs mandatory.

    Talking points include: we are really unpacking the mixed reviews for this show (spoiler alert! it's misogyny & racism!), in this house we stan a diverse writer's room queen: Leslye Headland, the antidote to a nearly bloated "Marvel cinematic universe" problem is bringing fresh eyes and concentrating on story, this may be the first episode where we have pretty diverging opinions about character deaths! wow!, forshadowing done right, too little characterization? too much characterization?, how to avoid having your characters become redshirts, the power of the bicep (please listen to Disney's audio description of that one scene in episode 6), & overall, a great show!
