  • EP 3 - Some guy kept Edgar Allan Poe's wife's bones under his bed - Baltimore, USD
    Jun 13 2023

Live from Horror on Main, a horror convention with authors, actors, directors, and podcasters, I bring you a live episode of my tour of Edgar Allan Poe's house in Baltimore, Maryland. Poe is the father of the modern short story and really defined horror, detective mysteries and the mystery genre. There are mysteries to Poe himself, like, how did he die? There are dozens of theories. Learn about Poe's life and work, and a guy who kept Poe's wife's bones underneath his bed on this episode of Stranger Than Usual.

  • EP 2 - A Nazi bunker with a secret room and the official who got fired - Kassel, Germany
    Nov 21 2022

A percussion school today used to be an above-ground bunker for Nazi officials who worked for the Reichsbahn, the railway company during the Second World War. Reichsbahn officials hid in a secret room in between floors during the city of Kassel's worst bombing. Where was the guy who was supposed to keep the city safe? Hanging with his buds or something.

  • EP 1 - A violent, tragic start to one of Canada's queer communities - Vancouver, Canada
    Nov 7 2022

One of the biggest queer areas in Canada is covered in rainbow flags today but Davie Street Village's vibrant neighborhood has a dark history of the queer community fighting against itself and a serial killer who preyed upon sex workers. Join me as we learn about queer pioneers in this area and the memorial mounted to remember the violent end to 67 missing and murdered women.
