  • The Final Frontier - Part One
    Oct 28 2024

To celebrate 20 years since Australia's breakthrough Test series victory in India, Stories After Stumps has spoken to a group of the key individuals who made it happen.

Spread across two special episodes, hear from Adam Gilchrist, Justin Langer, Jason Gillespie, Simon Katich, Michael Kasprowicz, coach John Buchanan and journalist Robert 'Crash' Craddock as they reminisce one of Australia's greatest series wins.

Having not tasted success in India since 1969, and without captain Ricky Ponting (broken thumb), the Aussies needed to formulate something a bit different if they were to overcome their star-studded opponents.

  • '97 Problems: Mayhem, mishaps & World Cup glory
    Sep 3 2024

The 1997 Women's World Cup will forever be remembered for Belinda Clark's record-smashing 229 not out and the heaving Eden Gardens crowd for the final between Australia and New Zealand.

But if you ask the players who were there, they remember the other stuff: Elephants at the ground, pop stars in the hotels, monkeys on the nets, luggage falling off the bus, missed flights, oppressive heat, torrential rain and Christmas abroad.

This is the story of Australia's journey to the 1997 World Cup.

  • The Catch
    Aug 20 2024

For an extended period either side of the turn of the 21st century, Victoria and Queensland fought out the most intense rivalry in Australian domestic cricket. One of several boiling points between the sides was reached on the final day of the 2001 Sheffield Shield decider at the Gabba. With hosts Queensland stumbling in their fourth-innings run chase, their captain Stuart Law came to the middle, hoping to avoid a king pair. What happened next was one of the most dramatic moments in Shield history, and for Law, the climax of a long-held grudge with a fierce rival.

Featuring interviews with the key protagonists, this episode of Stories After Stumps is an incredible behind-the-scenes look at one of domestic cricket's great controversies.

  • Nicole Bolton: Raw
    Jul 23 2024

With stirring candidness, Bolton takes us through the early life challenge of fighting her sexuality, of later competing for an Aussie opening spot with her then girlfriend, Elyse Villani, and of working her way through the torturous mental health battle she faced towards the of her career, and continues to deal with today.

Also featuring interviews with family, friends and teammates, this is a compelling – at times harrowing – episode of Stories After Stumps that you don't want to miss.

  • King of the Bash
    Jul 9 2024

Craig Simmons was a 31-year-old club cricketer without a professional contract when BBL|03 began. A wild month of cricket later, he'd hammered two centuries and guided the Perth Scorchers to a breakthrough maiden title.

But, it wasn't all smooth sailing, with a slow start seeing him almost dropped by coach Justin Langer.

From smashing the world's fastest bowlers, to smashing down Coca Cola and Doritos, this is Simmons' story.
