This week we feature Jennies golf with head coach Chris Port and junior McKenna Rice. We also share a bit of UCM Athletics history, including where one track and field standout and one basketball legend are today, and we preview the week ahead in UCM athletics.

We have a special treat on this episode of Sports Page as we are visiting with Mules and Jennies track & field graduate assistant Christopher Goodwin and his sister, Kayla Goodwin.  Christopher is a 15-time All-MIAA performer and four-time All-American, including a national championship in the outdoor long jump at the NCAA Division-II National Championships in 2022.  He is now a graduate assistant coach for the Mules and Jennies. 

Kayla is a junior at UCM and is a six-time conference champion and seven-time All-American in the triple jump, indoor pentathlon and outdoor heptathlon. 

This week I get to visit with a  fellow Smith-Cotton High School and Central Missouri State University alum, my good friend Kathy Anderson. Kathy is the interim vice president for intercollegiate athletics at UCM, but more than that she is a Jenny, through and through.  Her No. 32 is retired after an All-America and UCM Athletics Hall of Fame career with Jennies basketball.  She also was a member of the CMSU track and field and softball teams, competed for Team USA, and is enshrined in the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
