Jennifer Cooper, MS, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Jennifer 'Coop' Cooper is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner who specializes in surgery, IV therapy, and total-body wellness. After more than 10 years in the operating room, Coop has assisted in literally thousands of procedures, from heart transplants to mommy makeovers. Now in private practice at Pacific Heights Plastic Surgery, Cooper continues to provide exceptional care to her patients, both in the OR as well as in her in-office wellness lounge. Here, she specialized in IV therapy, injectable supplements, and medical weight management. The wellness lounge was designed and implemented by Coop, as she and her team built the lounge from the ground up as a labor of love in order to provide a full-service wellness experience for their patients. Outside the clinic, Coop is also a certified IV immunoglobulin (IVIG) provider, specializing in in-home IV immunotherapy.
A decorated combat veteran, Coop served as an Army broadcast journalist and public affairs specialist prior to entering the medical field. She now gets to put these skills to great use writing policies and procedures, blog posts, and marketing content for Build My Health and the American IV Association. Coop is a member of the ANCC and holds certifications in adult-geriatric acute care, medical weight management, wound care, and IV immunoglobulin therapy.
FAVORITE IV BOOST: Calcium & Vitamin D! Coop says, "Just about everyone needs calcium and vitamin D, but it's especially important for women's bone health and the prevention of osteoporosis. I love to add these to my IVs regularly because I have ulcerative colitis, so I don't absorb the nutrients from pills very well well."
