• 9. Setting Intentions
    Dec 25 2024

A few years ago, I did away with New Year’s resolutions (they never worked for me!), and instead, chose a word of the year. It’s a simple, yet powerful practice that has really set the stage for my growth and healing.

In this episode, I talk about some important (stress-free) steps to go through when choosing your word of the year. It’s more about relaxing into the process than doing/forcing, so I hope you enjoy this short and sweet message. This is the last episode of Season 1 of the Spark of Courage. If you’ve made it all the way to here, thank you for listening and for supporting this channel. It has been a blessing to be able to share my voice with you - and my own personal miracle to bring these stories to you. Wishing you a blessed holiday season and a peaceful start to 2025!

Thank you for spending your time with me this year.

    Love courageously,

    Alecs

    Dec 25 2024

A contemplation question for you, as we enter the quiet, introspective winter season: Are you using band-aids in your healing (quick fixes, shortcuts, bypassing)? Or are you truly facing the shadow and looking inward to see what lies underneath the pain and the triggers?

In this episode, I offer a short contemplation on what it takes to truly do the work. Showing up for yourself (and bringing all of your parts with you) creates immense joy and freedom - will you join me, in wearing your wounds proudly and allowing the light to see them?

Thank you for spending your time with me today.

Do you believe in miracles? Have you witnessed the healing power of doing the inner work?

In this special episode, my dear friend, Rachel Pelisson, helps me share my healing journey. We dive into how my struggles with chronic illness led me to examine my inner world. By examining the shadow, and accepting and transmuting the pain that was there, I was able to gain greater freedom, peace, joy, and courage to be authentic. For me, the soul-led healing journey is an essential lifelong path, because it is bringing me closer to wholeness and embracing my true Self. Hope you enjoy this awesome interview with Rachel!

Thank you for spending your time with me today.

Trigger warning: Today's episode contains sensitive and potentially triggering content, including references to suicidal ideation.

Does the inner work sometimes feel like an uphill battle? Or perhaps you haven’t cultivated the courage yet to start? Is your soul asking for a deeper commitment to inner truth?

In this episode, I share a message of hope: when you devote yourself to doing the work and showing up for your soul, when you commit to looking within with honesty, your pain will alchemize into wisdom and deep soul medicine. It doesn’t happen right away, but when it finally does crystallize, it will feel as if it’s happening overnight. Patterns begin to dissolve, and change takes root in your life. Listen in to be refreshed by a message of hope and redemption.

Do you have trouble hearing your inner voice? Do you listen to your inner authority, your inner knowing, your soul? Do you know what it sounds like?

In this episode, I explore what it means to listen to your soul, and what happens when we repeatedly ignore our inner truth. I also address the shame and societal stigma of mental health and suicidal ideation. My deepest intention is to create a ripple effect to prevent further death and suffering, thus allowing people who are struggling to seek the help they need.

What does healing mean to you? What does it mean to be whole, to be at home with yourself, and within yourself?

In this episode, I explore how my body tried to tell me, through chronic illness, that I was living an inauthentic life, out of alignment with my soul’s inner truth. As I walked the well-traveled path toward finding a cure, I stumbled upon the inner healing journey and now I’m hooked for life. Can you summon the courage to live a more joyful, authentic life? I’m challenging myself every day, to do just that. Listen in to learn more about my healing journey.

Trigger warning: Today's episode contains sensitive and potentially triggering content, including references to suicidal ideation.

Do you have trouble putting yourself first? Do you sometimes feel like you need permission to live? Do you have the courage to be yourself?

In this episode, I talk about Human Design, a synthesis of 4 ancient modalities: The Charka System, Astrology, The Chinese I-Ching, and The Kabbalah Tree of Life, along with insights from Quantum Mechanics. I explore how this system gave me a huge permission slip to be different and how it is constantly reminding me that it’s ok to believe in myself.

Trigger warning: Today's episode contains sensitive and potentially triggering content, including references to suicidal ideation.

Have you ever had a friend who was struggling with their mental health? Would you know how to help someone dealing with suicidal thoughts? Are you uncomfortable even thinking about it?

I want to dispel the shame linked to suicide, let go of preconceptions and discomfort to help those in our society suffering alone, in the dark. As tough as it might be to hear these words, it's a million times harder to live them.

In this episode, I share how becoming a mother was my own kind of miracle: it brought both tremendous joy and pain. Motherhood stripped me to my core, and I had no choice but to start looking inwards and begin the healing process. It was rough and all worth it….Cuz I'm still here to see my baby grow up. Join me in an honest conversation about the privilege of being human. There’s a little bit for everyone in this episode, and I hope you find something that resonates <3 We do get real and uncomfortable, so take care of yourself as you listen.
