  • Deconstructing New Year - Following the Natural Flow
    Feb 5 2023

It's been a minute! Welcome back to Soul Sis, the podcast where we talk about all things spiritual, truth seeking, and soul inspiring as we work through what the collective is going through and focus on following the divine feminine path of intuitive feeling in a world where this aspect of ourselves is so often suppressed.

It's now 2023, which means a new year, but the same you and me. And we're here to embrace this version of ourselves in every waking moment, honoring whatever that looks like from moment to moment. I took some time to myself to decide how to approach the new year. Took some time to turn inward and rest and heal from a hard holiday season. We are all still well within the thick of winter during this time. New year is 11 days after Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. This is the heart of winter, a time for hibernation, rest, dreaming, embracing the darkness/shadows, stillness and release, as well as a time for nourishment and keeping oneself warm.

Though society encourages us to jump into action with a 'New Year, New Me' attitude,  I encourage you to follow your feelings and honor where you are at, and where we are at in this season of life that inspires us to do the opposite. Rest, nourish yourself, reflect, and do not feel the need to jump right into action right now. Do what works for you, and do it for you and not for the expectation of anyone else. Do your best not to set extreme expectations of yourself during this time as well. Follow the flow of the divine feminine. All is well. You are perfect exactly as you are. Anything that feels less than love is there to help you align with your highest truth.

Just because society has declared that it is a time to take action does not mean that Mother Nature agrees. As an extension of nature herself, you don't have to either, if it doesn't feel right for you. Following your feelings and flowing with the seasons is living in alignment with your innate nature, with the natural order. Don't be led to feel wrong for recognizing that this inorganic force opposing the natural flow is not in alignment with you. Trust your intuition to guide you.

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” — Lao Tzu

  • How Your Habits Shape Your Reality - Change Your Rituals Change Your Life
    Nov 29 2022

We're diving back into the hot topic of habits and how each decision we make shapes every aspect of our environment on an internal and external level. Whether you're consciously aware or unconsciously operating on autopilot, whatever routines you're accustomed to practicing on a regular basis actually make up the sum total of everything you have and do not have right now. If there are aspects of your life that you are less than satisfied with, first- take this time to write out every detail what you desire out of this life for yourself. Next- separately make a bullet-point list of what your everyday routine looks like down to every minute you can track. These are your habits. Once you have this list, go back through it and write down whether each bullet point in your routine is a liability or an asset in moving you closer to the ideal life or version of yourself you envisioned in that first list. That dream life exists, your highest self is calling. It's up to you to answer the call. Take each bullet point from your routine and ask yourself what's the trigger, routine, and result. Once you know the triggers, you'll be self-aware enough to choose something that will serve as an asset instead of a liability. In taking that routine which has become the habit and transforming it into a new ritual,  you will embody a new result that reaps the long term reward of living in alignment with the life you're creating by design.

  • Staying Spiritually Sound Through The Holiday Season
    Nov 23 2022

It's Thanksgiving week, which marks the beginning of the holiday season. Some would say "It's the most wonderful time of the year"... I, however, beg to differ... and in today's soulo episode I'll explain why the holiday season can be hard on us all for different reasons. It's a great time to check in with yourself, your needs, and the expectations you've been taking on that perhaps don't align with your true values and beliefs. I use the 5 love languages to decipher all the ways we can express our love, gratitude, and inner peace during this time of year. Time to let go of the commercialism, consumerism, and conventional expectations imposed by society, strangers, and even our communities and closer relationships and get clear on how we want to express these things authentically for ourselves. Lastly I'll share some ways in which I'm staying aligned through practices embodying self love, inner peace, and my personal space in hopes that they leave you feeling inspired to check in with yourself too and really choose to create space for the things that light you up inside. So much gratitude for you, and for this ability to share this message and moment with you. Namaste &  Happy Holidays xx
