• Central Division Midseason Review - E15
    Jan 31 2025

Time to recap the Central Division! Things start with the Avalanche and examining how Martin Necas and Jack Drury have fit into Colorado after 3 games, and where the Avs go from here. Moving to Chicago, we discuss the forgotten team in the blockbuster trade, and question if the Hawks are truly doing their rebuild any favours. St. Louis and Utah are milling around the edges of the Wildcard race, but do they have enough to make a push? Is it time for Nashville to write of the season and focus on next year? Are the Wild the dark horse team of the Division or is great goaltending covering up lapses elsewhere in their game. Finally the Jets and Stars look poised to claim the top two spots in the division but for them it's all about playoff success.

Thanks for tuning in, like and subscribe on Youtube! Tune in next week for the final midseason division review as we go over the Atlantic.

  • McDavid Suspension and Metropolitan Midseason Review
    Jan 25 2025

The Edmonton Oilers released a statement giving their support for captain and star player Connor McDavid as he deals with a 3-game suspension for cross-checking Connor Garland. Midseason reviews continue with the Metropolitan. Is the Rangers strong start to 2025 a sign they are turning the ship around? and if so can they do it with how tight the Eastern Wildcard race is? The Washington Capitols are one of the darlings of the league, with Logan Thompson continuing to make Hockey Canada's goaltending decisions questionable, and Pierre-luc Dubios fitting in nicely. In Columbus the Blue Jackets are the other darling of the league, with Zach Werenski staking his claim for a Norris trophy and the young stars finding their own in the NHL. The Hurricanes and Devils are where we thought they'd be, though the Devils have slipped recently (PS episode recorded Thursday night). In Long Island, the Islanders are the epitome of mediocrity, briefly touching on their struggles, before shifting to Pennsylvania to talk about the other mediocre teams in the division in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

    Jan 15 2025

Turmoil continues to brew in Vancouver as the Pattersson/Miller saga hurdles towards a massive shift in the Canucks locker room. In Seattle, the Kraken have sunk back down to the depths of the division at a time when they should be rising. What's going on in Seattle and is Ron Francis on the hot seat? Jack Eichel is putting together a stellar season, dragging Vegas to the top seed, is he flying under the radar as a Hart Trophy candidate? In Anaheim, the Ducks are starting to see their young talent come together a bit, with play of young net minder Lukas Dostal the highlight, it's only a matter of time before spring hockey returns to Anaheim. The Flames are having a stellar season and do the Oilers have enough to pass the Golden Knights?
