  • New Haven CT Cemetery and the Center Church Crypt
    Jan 15 2025

    Episode 13:

Slice of the Paranormal travels to New Haven, Connecticut. The Evergreen Cemetery is one of the most well-known haunted places in New Haven. The most popular ghost story is the legend of Mary Hart. In 1872, Mary Hart was supposedly buried alive. Her ghost has been said to be seen near her grave at midnight, as well as sometimes catching a ride or dishing out punishments to those that disrespect her grave. In this episode we show a rather active K2 Meter session at her grave. We also travel to the Center Church Crypt in New Haven. The New Haven Crypt, which dates back to 1687, can be found underneath its fourth and present church which is located at New Haven Green. People report seeing ghosts in the crypt which contains the graves of a few notable New Haven residents. Margaret Arnold; the first wife of Benedict Arnold is buried here. Theophilus Eaton, one of the founders of New Haven and the church is also said to haunt the site. People claim they hear a voice asking if they have been saved. Sometimes they even see a face that asks this question and realize it’s Theophilus Eaton. The Green in front of the church contains the remains of 5,000 to 10,000 people, so watch where you step…. Those aren’t always animal bones protruding from the ground on the Green.

  • Cell Block and Genetti Hotel
    Jan 1 2025

Episode 11: Slice of the Paranormals haunted adventures take us to Williamsport in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. We get to check out the Cell Block, a haunted nightclub that was once the Lycoming County Prison. It was also the site of many deaths. The Ax Murderer William Hummel met the end of a hangman’s noose at this site and is rumored to be haunted by him. It’s seems rather fitting since this man killed his wife and three children and then claimed her spirit visited at the site in his cell. He even dictated a “Spirit Letter” from her absolving him of the crime. We also check out the Genetti Hotel, where an old photograph contains what could be the ghost of a little girl. Could the image be of a girl whose laughter is still heard at the site and is she responsible for opening the elevator doors when no one hits the buttons. Listen to the episode as we explore these hauntings and try to answer these questions.

  • Wendigo and the Plum Tree Massacre
    Dec 11 2024

Episode 8: Slice of the Paranormal loves Cryptids! In this episode we discuss the Wendigo. Which is a mythological creature or evil spirit originating from Algonquian folklore. The wendigo is often said to be a malevolent spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, which possesses human beings. It is said to cause its victims a feeling of insatiable hunger, the desire to eat other humans, and the propensity to commit murder. It’s said to have a heart of ice, but can sometimes be cured through the feeding of animal fat. We also discuss the case of Swift Runner who was thought to have Wendigo Psychosis which led to him killing and eating his own family. As well as the sad case of a Native American woman forced to consume human flesh in order to preserve her and her children’s lives. The site of the horrid meal was called Enda Mohätink, which means "where human flesh was eaten." This Cryptid instills fear in the hearts of many Native Americans even today and has reached a much wider audience through TV shows and movies.
