On this episode of Skye's The Limit, Skye is joined by Owner of Kinship Butcher & Sundry, Rachael Pack! Kinship is a farmer’s market driven grocery store that serves primarily as a whole animal butchery. They also source and sell local produce, natural wines, pantry staples, make top notch breakfast sandwiches and serve incredible coffee from their collaborators Academy Coffee.
Originally from Park City, Utah, Rachael moved to New York City in 2015 to further immerse herself in the culinary world. She played a key role in launching New Worlder, a food and travel site, where she also served as Recipe and Blog Editor. She then transitioned from journalism to become a sommelier, eventually joining the team at Aska. Rachael quickly rose through the ranks to become Beverage Manager where she led a major overhaul of the wine cellar, expanding its selection to complement the restaurant's innovative dishes. She later took on the role of General Manager and Beverage Director, overseeing multiple aspects of the dining experience.
It was during her time at Aska that Rachael met Myles Moody. Together, they cultivated a team of passionate professionals dedicated to excellence in both service and cuisine, which contributed to Aska’s recognition with two Michelin stars in 2018 and 2019. Rachael and Myles later moved to Myles’ hometown of Atlanta, where they opened Kinship in August 2021. Located in the vibrant Virginia-Highland neighborhood, Kinship quickly became an integral part of the local dining scene, offering thoughtfully sourced cuts of meat, popular breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fresh produce and locally-sourced products, natural wines curated by Rachael and curated pantry staples.
