Great chat with Rachel but a wee niggle
It was cool to hear from Rachel, I’ve followed her on YouTube for a while & hearing some of her story was fascinating. What was a bit disappointing was the statement from Candice about 4c hair being the strongest! That is not actually true, please research black hair 4c hair (& Afro hair in general) is the most fragile & delicate. It’s the fastest to dry out & break though it looks robust. One thing I read and never forget is ‘treat Afro hair like delicate lace’ because it’s that fragile. I also understand that 4c hair may need more love & patience but to say it’s the hardest & most difficult sends a horrible message to young women out there. Please be mindful, it’s wonderful to have honest conversations but they should be non harmful.
