Today's the day Emily interviews for Miss America so we thought it would be perfect to share her episode detailing her service and initiative for the future!

Emily Schumacher, Miss Minnesota 2024, works as a CNA at Mayo Clinic Health Systems and sales associate at J. Longs Lifestyle Shop. She is a 2022 Honors Graduate of Northern State University. Her community service initiative, which she will promote during her year of service, is “The Heart of the Matter,” advocating for heart health and heart disease prevention.

Emily has earned over $30,000 in scholarships by competing in the Miss Minnesota Organization, and is proud to have also raised over $25,000 in scholarship funds.

This week we welcome our current Miss Mississippi, Becky Williams to the #SheWins podcast!

Becky Williams is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, MDSC. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Elementary Education from MSU. Her community service initiative, Make A Move, is used to empower and educate Americans on the power of meaningful movement. During her year as Miss Mississippi, Becky hopes to prioritize the future generations of Mississippi through her school tour. She plans to travel the state of Mississippi to promote the message of how simple it can be to incorporate exercise into the everyday lives of Mississippians and Americans alike, as well as to promote the scholarship opportunities and life skills provided by the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen Organizations.

Annette made history as the first immigrant to become Miss Texas. During her year of service, Annette will advocate for her community service initiative, The S.P.A.R.K. Project: Autism Safety, Awareness, and Education. Annette is pursuing a Masters of Business Administration at Lamar University before she pursues her Juris Doctor. Through the Miss America Organization, Annette has earned more than $42,000 for her education.

Welcome Mallory Pendergast, our Miss Texas 2021!

Mallory is a long time competitor in the Miss America Organization and took home the title of Miss Texas 2021. During her year, she advocated for suicide prevention and walked away with a top 10 placement and a preliminary award at Miss America. After her year as a titleholder she went on to become a Speech Pathologist and married her now late husband, Garrett Pendergast. Garrett was later diagnosed with brain cancer and she now shares their story through social media with the hope of showcasing "joy through it all."

Beginning her career at 19 years old, she has set new standards in the home building industry with her green footprint and home sustainability. Aarieanna is the reigning Miss Texas USA 2024 and placed Top 10 at Miss USA. As a proud Jewish woman she prides herself on giving back to her community with her program “Build It Up”, created to mentor young women in leadership roles in STEAM. In her free time, you’ll find Aarieanna relaxing at home raising her pet chickens, or chasing the next adrenaline rush swinging from a trapeze bar or skydiving through the Texas skies.
