  • Summary

  • Does marriage still make sense? Marriage rates have fallen to historic lows, and on today's episode we discuss why we think people aren’t tying the knot anymore.

Just 70 years ago, U.S. households were made up of 80% married couples and in 2020 that number was only 49%. Millennials have been much slower than previous generations to get married. We discuss what these reasons may be, including more opportunities, gender equality, financial stability, education, the rise of feminism, and more.

We also discuss our own personal experiences and feelings on the topic of marriage. We represent many sides of the table: Someone who is divorced, someone who is never getting married, someone who married young, and someone working on their marriage.
