Vang Vieng is in central Laos and surrounded by limestone mountains, It was once specifically known as a very famous spot for this boozy “tubing”, experience….where visitors rode on large inner tubes down the Nam Song River, stopping off at bars along the way. The town has since rebranded and now attracts a wider range of visitors, though it continues to draw backpackers worldwide.

Despite the fun and charm the little town brings….. the deaths of six young travelers after a suspected mass methanol poisoning emerged from the town and rippled through international headlines.
