  • Ana’s Journey:

    • A lifestyle change in 1 year, as a result of setting both short & longer term, & realistic goals
    • Currently 25lbs from her ultimate goal
    • Started at 286, now 183, working towards 165-170 lbs Down 30% body fat (from 60% to 33%)
    • Also a result of having the right team and support system
    • Ana hired a trainer, nutritionist & psychology 
    • Still under construction & enjoying the process 

    Discussion Topics:

    When enough was enough:

    • January 29th of 2020 after stepping on the scale
    • It resulted in Ana looking herself in the mirror and having a heart-to-heart conversation
    • “Today is the last day that you will ever see that number, you will never see anything higher”

    Goals:

    • “I knew in order to achieve my goals I needed more than diet. It needed to be a mindset. I needed a lifestyle change”
    • Be reasonable/realistic
    • “Miracles Don’t happen over night” 
    • “Appreciate the process and the season that you’re in”

    Anas Ultimate Why:

    • For her health (It was now or never)
    • For her family
    • “Motivation for me to be better for them”

    Success & Mental Hurdles:

    • Having to learn to say no 
    • Me vs me (”a battle within myself”)

    Sacrifices:

    Limiting diet for a time period 

    • Cutting alcohol for 9 months 
    • Sugar for 6 months 
    • Carbs for 3 months

    Having the right Team:

    Setting a game plan, a progressive approach 

    Ask for help

    • A great trainer 
    • A nutritionist 
    • A psychologist
