There are two parts to this podcast. 
1. Why do we like to listen to and watch murder mysteries?
2. The Diane Newton King murder

King was murdered in 1991 in the driveway of her home while her toddler and infant children sat in the car.  Diane had complained of stalkers who kept writing letters to her and it was making her nervous.  A jealous male co-worker who thought she was too demanding, bitchy, and rude. Lastly, there was a husband who was a former police officer who was afraid his wife was going to divorce him for the affairs he was having with college students in his Criminal Justice classes. You won't know who did it unless you listen to this podcast.

This podcast brings to li several examples of violent criminals being let out on low or no bail policies enacted by several Mayors and District Attorneys throughout the United States. They have proven to be disastrous policy enactments, but due to ideological mindsets, these groups have not changed their minds on being sympathetic to the criminal element and are not thinking about the safety of the citizens of their jurisdiction and what's best for the public.

Chynna Dickus and her stepson, Blake. were found murdered in their new home while her husband, Sean, was at work. Sean had been home around 1:30 pm and had lunch with his family and then returned to work only to find both of them dead when he arrived home around 5:00 pm. This occurred on July 24, 2006, in Franklin, Indiana. After years of investigating this case, no suspects have ever been identified and the case has gone cold.

In September 1985 two high school teenagers were murdered in a park in Muncie, IN. Over the years, many persons have been interviewed and there have been persons of interest, but no arrests have been made. It began as a true mystery and became even more mysterious. In December of 1985, there was another double murder that involved a domestic dispute, but could the 20-year-old suspect, who was tried and convicted, have been involved in the previous double murder? Did the police find any connection to the victims?

A current homicide investigation into the murder of Gabby Petito while traveling to the state and federal parks in the western United States.
Gabby's boyfriend, Brian Laundrie after the couple had a documented domestic violence incident, days before her disappearance and murder.
Brian Laundrie returned home in Gabby's car, but Gabby was not with him.
Subsequently, Brian Laundrie skipped town and is believed to be on the run and hiding.

Castro kidnapped 3 girls over a period of 2 years within a 5 block area of each other. This began in 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the victims, Amanda Berry, escaped the house and was able to get a neighbor to call the police and rescue the other 2 women and a child. 
Castro committed suicide in prison after his conviction.
