  • James Brown - Author & Journalist
    Nov 26 2024

Don't be sad. I know it's hard to hear but this is our final episode of this season. But do not worry as we have a hell of an episode. James Erskine (the host) gets his once a season treat of interviewing someone where it gets rather nerdy. James Brown is a journalist, author, music reviewer, cultural observer and visionary genius that kickstarted the world of "lad mags" with his magazine Loaded. James talks to James (don't worry its not that confusing in the podcast) about it all. His roots back in the day of the underworld culture of zines. His days at NME and GQ UK. How Loaded came to be and how it started the cultural phenomenon of the "ladmag". He also talks about the stories with some of the music icons he met back in the day and where he is going next. Then of course James asks James for his rocket fuel!
