  • Religions have always existed. People who practice religion always believe that their chosen religion is the one, perfect, good religion approved by God,. They also believe that all other religions are false religions that God hates and punishes. Often they believe that it is an act of righteousness to disable and/or punish other religions by evangelizing people who have beliefs different from their own or through violent, physical warfare. The history of religious conflict in the bible and recorded history confirms this ongoing religious warfare. In ”Religion Then and Now” we will evaluate religious activity past and present from God‘s perspective. We will call out the bad and ugly things that religious people do and show how those behaviors fail to line up with the good things that God expects his people to do. It‘s not a pretty picture. All religions come up short of God‘s expectations. In particular, we will be looking at Judaism and Christianity. (Thunder and lighting background sounds are donated by: Zapsplat Free Sound Effects)
