Often than not we find ourselves looking back to our past and reminiscing about what would have been. This we would know by the end of this episode does not positively serve us. Let us take an inventory of our past but not linger there and redirect our gaze and focus on the future with unwavering faith and trust in God.

In speaking to His disciples about a coming time of great destruction, Jesus mentioned what happened to Lot’s wife and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. “Remember Lot’s wife!” He said. “Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it” -Luke 17:32–33

Sin can be seen as inevitable because we were all born into this sinful world after Adam and Eve disobeyed God and fell from grace. But this was overturned when Jesus came to die for all of our sins. We just have to believe it and be proactive about living a sin-free life.

A sin is any thought or action that falls short of God’s will. God is perfect, and anything we do that falls short of His perfection is sin ­– Billy Graham

Wisdom is simply the opposite of foolishness.

In life, it is crucial to know that you cannot rely on your own human wisdom.

9 times out of 10 human wisdom fails.

Once you can acquire the wisdom of God you should also strive to acquire understanding as well.

Proverbs 4:7: The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it costs all you have, get understanding.

We often find ourselves with intrusive thoughts that seem like we are in battle with our minds. As a reminder let us not forget that we were never promised a perfect life but what Jesus promised us, however, is that he has left his peace with us that is everlasting and that surpasses all human understanding.

John 14:27: Jesus said, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
