  • Episode21: High-Grade Mast Cell Tumours
    May 15 2023

Mast Cell Tumours or MCTs are the most dreaded tumour in veterinary medicine. Though they are easily diagnosed in the consult room, they immediately pose an issue as to grading, staging and treatment. Grade I MCTs, as we know, are usually easily surgically removed and pose a low risk of further metastasis, while high-grade MCTs may require multimodal treatment and careful monitoring. In this episode, we will be reviewing the new grading system for MCTs, as well as treatment advances for high-grade MCTs and reviewing the science on what treatment protocol is going to give us the best outcome for our patients.
