In this episode, Tee tells us about the case of an army soldier who was murdered by a fellow soldier. While the crime was not deemed a hate crime initially, the circumstances surrounding his death were questionable and likely fueled by homophobia. We also discuss the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy that, fortunately, was repealed in December of 2010.

Join us as Kylie tells us the story of Andrew Cunanan, a complete trash human. Some of you may already be familiar with this case, but we also offer some of our own insights on the case. It's a lil messy, because we have been gone for a year and a half, but we are back, and we are excited to start making content for you all again!

We're back! And we're starting with our first Queer Cheers episode where we update y'all on where we've been for the past year and a half while also sharing some positive Queer news.

This week, we've got a case that is still being worked on. In fact, just 2 days before posting this episode, police announced they had possibly identified a 6th victim of "The Doodler" and upped the reward for information in helping to solve the case.  In the mid-70's, San Francisco was terrorized by a serial killer who targeted gay men and was nicknamed "The Doodler" due to his tendency to sketch his victims. Join us as Cassie tells us about the beautiful men who were lost, and how there are likely multiple people out there who possibly know exactly who “The Doodler” is, including the police. 

SFPD is offering a $200,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the apprehension of the killer. Tips can be called into the 24-hour hotline at 415-575-4444 or texted to TIP411, starting the message with SFPD. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
