When it comes to "The Big Game(s)" it appears the moment is too big for Sam Darnold, despite such an amazing regular season. The interior line did not help, but still, you would hope for better than what we have seen the past two weeks.

The Vikings played in Detroit on Sunday night, but mostly just the defense showed up. Sam Darnold looked nervous and that the game was too big for him from the get go. Hockenson was flat awful, Jefferson had some plays he'd like back, and eventually the defense ran out of gas, as they'd done everything they could, as Darnold and the offense mustered virtually nothing most of the way.

The Minnesota Vikings have now won the second most games in a season in franchise history, in a game that should have had more separation than it did. Once again Sam Darnold was clutch when he needed to be, just like he was against Green Bay earlier in the season. Will Reichart is scaring a few people by "doinking" a 43 yarder, not to mention a tougher 58 yard field goal attempt. No double doinks allowed!

In a game that started out as a "Can you top this?" type of battle, things would completely snowball in Sam Darnold's and the Vikings favor. Darnold would become the first Vikings Quarterback to throw five touchdowns in a game since Daunte Culpepper on October 17th, 2004!

In one of the more frustrating games we've seen, the Minnesota Vikings did not lead in this game, until the final 1 minute and 18 seconds of the game and still had to hang on because Arizona still had three time outs! Thankfully, the Vikings defense was up for the moment, and demoralized a Cardinals offense, which was quite formidable for most of the game.

After a slow start, the Vikings appeared to have this game in the bag, leading by 11 with two minutes remaining in the game. We all watched in horror as those 11 points vanished right before our eyes, as overtime began. Thankfully, the Vikings were done playing around and put the game away fairly quickly.
