When “The English Riviera” first hit the shelves in 2011, the British band Metronomy particularly rose to wider popularity with their hit singles The Look and The Bay.

The band was nominated for a Mercury Prize that same year and has since released five further studio albums and the Unreleased Remixes Mixtape for The English Riviera. Metronomy's newest LP, “Small World”, was released on February 18th, 2022. 

Metronomy is centred around lead vocalist and songwriter, Joseph Mount, plus the other band members Oscar Cash, Anna Prior, Olugbenga Adelekan and Michael Lovett.

Pure Mood Podcast had the chance to chat with bassist and solo artist Olugbenga. We dug into his personal collaborative projects so far, including working with Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles. This episode also offers a sneak peek into the creative processes behind Metronomy and also discusses what it’s like for Adelekan to have a musician’s family.
