• Parenting Styles: Expectations vs. Reality with Andrea Maley
    Dec 14 2023

This episode is a fun one! We're excited to welcome our friend and fellow tiny human mom Andrea Maley, onto this week's episode!

You've heard it before, there's no manual when it comes to parenting but most of us had some idea of the kind of parent we wanted to be. Things we definitely "would never do" and the things we envisioned ourselves doing. And then there's what actually is unfolding.

In this week's episode with lots of laughs and some reality checks we're chatting about our parenting predictions for ourselves and how they stacked up in real life. Screen time? Never! Neutral tones? For everything! Meal time? They're going to eat what we eat! See where we land on these hot pre-parenting opinions.

  • Bblblb It's time for Turkey Day!
    Nov 22 2023

It's Turkey Time! We can't believe it's already Thanksgiving, we're going to blink and it'll be time to be putting out milk and cookies. But before we welcome the big man, first we need to wrangle children with a tryptophan hang over.

Nina is the queen of Friendsgiving and hosts an epic gathering every year, so we're chatting turkey day prep, picky eating management and the possibility of a kids charcuterie station. Don't worry plenty of time for tangents about drop off line etiquette and doing laundry for tiny humans.

  • The Truth About Hard Things: Stella's Story with Kristen Jackson
    Oct 18 2023

This week we welcome Kristen Jackson, Paige's sister-in-law and fellow Scottsdale Mom Crew member. Nobody will argue that being a parent is tough, so when you are confronted with the truly unexpected the hurdles can feel impossible. But the truth is, you don't know how tough you are until you confront the unimaginable and make your way through it. This is an episode about dealing with the things that you can't anticipate, having them smack you in the face, learn to come to terms with them, overcome them and move past them in a healthy way.

Trigger Warning: In this episode Kristen shares her story of navigating her daughter's birth complication and diagnosis of an omphalocele after her 20-week ultrasound.

  • Introducing the Sourdough Queen of Scottsdale
    Sep 28 2023

After a busy couple of weeks were back to the original recipe and Paige & Nina are catching up on life. Nina is excited to share her journey as a Sourdough Starter Mom and her new crown as The Bread B*tch of Scottsdale, but this episode has a little bit of everything.

There's a lot going on in the world of pop culture right now; apparently Switfites are making the NFL a thing? Is there not any good music anymore? Apparently John Legend was not in the Hunger Games, whoops, but please give us grace as we weigh in - our brains just don't work anymore. Maybe that's why one of us just sent it and put dry shampoo in our daughters hair #yolo.

  • It's Fall Y'all with Lindsey Ackerman
    Sep 15 2023

Labor Day has come and gone and it's time to put away those white pants (is that still a thing?) and buckle up for Fall! But first, we're trying to figure out, when does fall officially start? Does it count if it's still 105 outside? Starbucks dropped the PSL so is that the universal unleashing of the pumpkin? Spoiler alert: lots of unpopular opinions here.

We are so excited to chat with this week's guest (and Paige's cousin!) Lindsey Ackerman! As a Michigan native Lindsey lives for REAL fall (not our AZ knock off) so we're chatting fall kick off, holiday decor, fall activities, festive treats, and of course no episode is complete without a kid story that you just can't make up... why does it ALWAYS come back to poop? Oh, because kids are gross that's why.

  • The Ghost of Parent Future with Amy Hart!
    Sep 7 2023

We are so excited to welcome our first guest to the podcast! The fabulous, wonderful, kick ass and hilarious Amy Hart! Amy is a mom to two awesome girls that are 10 and 6, so she is a couple years ahead of us in this wild journey of motherhood and we've brought her on to pick her brain and get the real about things like negotiating with tweens and having to fill up the swear jar. We dive in the the emotional side of parenting and commiserate over things like postpartem horns (iykyk). One thing is for sure, we're all just out here to survive but she promises it does get a little easier!

  • Yo Shorty, It's Your Kid's Birthday!
    Aug 24 2023

This is our first video episode!! It's taken us awhile to get here, and we definitely are BIG hand talkers, but really excited to be adding this layer to the podcast as we kick off episode 20!

This week's topic is a fun one! Nina's sweet girl is officially a threenager and we celebrated her birthday this past weekend. Kid's birthday parties can be such a fun and amazing part of parenthood - but they can also be a total pain in the ass and come with a lot of landmines to navigate. Who do you invite - is it the whole preschool class? What's the ettiequte for bringing siblings? How over the top do you feel you need to go? Is Costco Pizza the way to go? Are paper invitations a thing of the past?

Spoiler: There's really no right or wrong answer, but as usual - Paige and Nina have opinions. There's a lot of ways to throw an amazing birthday party, but there's one thing we agree on, it's all about the entertainment!

Check out our video episode on Spotify or YouTube and please, let us know what you think on Instagram @proofofmompodcast .
