As of December 2024, in the past month 47% of Americans age 12+ have listened to a podcast. Isn’t that crazy to think about? Almost half of Americans over the age of twelve last month listened to a podcast. That’s the highest number of active podcast listeners ever recorded.

One of my favorite parts of working in podcasting and being a podcaster is hearing people’s podcast suggestions and learning about new podcasts. Is there anything better than finding an amazing podcast with hundreds of episodes to completely obsess over and listen to day and night and ask every person you see if they’ve listened to it? I don’t think so.
