New York based artist Kadar Brock creates paintings through performative acts of erasure and self-reflection, using laborious processes to layer multiple compositions and merge them through eradication. Kadar will be one of the artists at the Hayama Artist Residency in Hayama, Japan in June 2024.

Ben Tanaka (also Shearon) was born in Germany, grew up in northern Spain, yet claims to be British. He retired from formal work in 2022 and since then he has been trying to figure out what to do with himself.
