Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern is a New Jersey-based artist and educator. She received her BFA in surface design from Parsons the New School of Design and earned her MFA in painting from New Jersey City University. Prior to receiving her graduate degree in fine art, Lisa served as an executive designer for the Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation for eight years, overseeing all areas of home design, with particular emphasis on textile products.
Ficarelli-Halpern has widely exhibited in numerous solo and group juried exhibitions, in venues including The Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in Wisconsin, The Visual Arts Center, George Segal Gallery and The Noyes Museum of Art in New Jersey, the Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago, Artists' House Gallery in Philadelphia, and the Shirin Gallery in New York. Her work has been featured in Poets and Artists, Fresh Paint, and Studio Visit magazines. She has won numerous awards, including a 2018 residency at Chateau Orquevaux in Champagne-Ardenne, France, a 2016 Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation residency at Mana Contemporary Art in Jersey City, and a 2006 Geraldine Dodge Fellowship. She is an adjunct professor of art at New Jersey City University.

She earned her MA in Museum Professions with a concentration in Exhibition Development from Seton Hall University and her BA in Art History from The University of Texas at El Paso.
