In the first of six episodes of this podcast musical, we meet Charlie (Sam Dedian) and Faith (Becca Lewis) as they are concluding their second date, giddy with promise of what could be. But when Faith flies off to visit family back home the next day, neither of them can predict how much the world is going to change before she makes it back.

Based in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, “Once in a Lifetime” is an LGBTQ love story about two people trying to figure out how to navigate a burgeoning relationship when they’re just not in the same place, and they’re not allowed to be.  Every episode features an original song by composer/lyricist team Colby Michaud and Linda Hildonen. In the second installment of this six-episode musical series set in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, Faith (Becca Lewis) and Charlie (Samantha Dedian) grapple with trying to further establish their burgeoning relationship as it becomes increasingly clear that the world is going through something unprecedented. Separated by stay-at-home orders, they struggle to find a way to stay optimistic that this could be something special. 

As the stay-at-home orders continue, Charlie (Samantha Dedian) is busy assisting operations at her school, which much shift to an online learning model. Faith (Becca Lewis), on the other hand, is left entirely idle, and more isolated than ever. In an attempt to reconnect with other people, she inquires about an online support group that her old friend Brody (Thomas Smallwood) is attending. 

In the fourth episode of this six-episode musical series, the support group gives Faith (Becca Lewis) some advice as to how to approach her relationship with Charlie (Samantha Dedian). Spring break gives Charlie some breathing room from her school duties, and things begin to change within their dynamic.

In this second-to-last episode of our story, Charlie (Samantha Dedian) is dealing with guilt over upsetting news about one of her favorite students. Faith (Becca Lewis) is once again struggling to figure out how she fits into the equation. 

Linda and Colby sit down with Becca and Sam to discuss our experiences during the pandemic, and with the making of "Once in a Lifetime." 

In the final installment of "Once in a Lifetime", Charlie finds a way to help Lisa during her husband's sudden illness, while Faith stops showing up to the group chats.
