On this Very Special Episode of Old School Bleep, Jeff, Damon & Scott are joined by special guests Amanda (a knowledgeable fan & enthusiast) and Jason (from the band The Seething Coast) to talk about recently deceased Chicago-based recording engineer and musician Steve Albini (Nirvana, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Pixies, hundreds more). We discuss his overall influence on music as well as how he impacted all of our lives personally. Also there’s some random stuff about RC Cola and R2D2. This episode includes never before seen footage of Albini at work with The Seething Coast on their album “Olympia” during a 2013 recording session at his Electrical Audio Recording studio.

In this episode of Old School Bleep, it is Damon's turn to be psychoanalyzed. He discusses his upbringing around music and the unique and innovative concept created by the coral director of Rochester High School in the eighties. This idea called 'Pop's Concert" helped create the band The Sulivans as well as influence the creation of multiple other rock bands, some of which played all over the world.

Scott and Jim meet in the late 80s and start performing at open mics around Springfield, which ultimately evolves into the band Backwards Day.
