Despite the controversy surrounding the acquittal of a suspect in 1998 and a renewed investigation in 2016 based on extensive DNA analysis, the case still lacks a definitive resolution, deepening the mystery surrounding Tengs' death. Characterized by multiple appeals and enduring public interest, this case continues to shroud Norway's criminal justice system in ambiguity.
