• Victim Impact Statement
    Jan 29 2021

This episode is dedicated to Taylor Swift and Chanel Miller.

I used Taylor Swift's court appearance as an inspiration on how to act in the pre-trial. I am in awe of Chanel Miller's voice.

This is my story. My victim impact statement.

I am taking back today. I will not be silenced.

  • My Stories to Tell - Episode 02 - Chapter 1 - The Worst
    Jan 30 2021

The first chapter of many stories I have written but have never shared publicly until now.

Can you imagine what is the worst that could happen in your life?

Through reading and doing the written exercises prescribed by Mark Wolynn's "It Didn't Start With You," I uncovered several inherited traumas that partly explained why I feel the way I do about my identity. Unable to willingly claim my Filipino heritage, I became a Ditto (the Pokémon) of sorts, personality wise and sometimes even physically. In this episode, find out what I thought the worst could happen to my life.

  • My Stories to Tell - Episode 03 - Chapter 3 - The Change Tattoo
    Jan 31 2021

"What would that tattoo look like when you get old?" is a common argument against tattoos.

In this short chapter, I share how I came to my decision and how I really would not know what the tattoo would like when I get old.

Starting with this episode, I am sharing my statement of gratitude in the summary section/show notes.

I am grateful for this experience of not being able to randomly walk into a highly recommended tattoo shop and get a tattoo on the spot.

  • My Stories to Tell - Episode 04 - From Afar
    Feb 1 2021

I always thought loneliness would kill me.

Death from a broken heart, as they say.

But instead I worry that trusting,

would be the death of me.

Even if the statistics are right about survival,

    no one lives forever...

    It's not my time yet,

I hope it will not be for a while.

So, so much change I've been looking forward to.

Things will never be the same.

"Normal" was not an okay way to live!

I suck at this waiting game,

I've ran out of space for resentment and grudges.

Can't do that anymore from a gratitude perspective

I am so grateful for everyone showing true colors

So I can assign them my "red"

    STOP!

I will be loving you from afar!

  • Weaponizing Social Media by Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago
    Feb 3 2021

The Legacy of Miriam Defensor Santiago includes this call to action to "Weaponize Social Media"

I don't usually engage in politics because I believe that most issues that people argue about are not political per se, they are social issues that need to be addressed across political lines.

Please consider voting for candidates that carry on the legacy of the greatest president the Philippines never had!

"I have realized why corrupt politicians do nothing to improve the quality of public school education. They are terrified of educated voters."
