The first muse fruit ever!! Look, it's a learning curve. I learned a lot through this first episode and made a few mistakes. I didn't always ask the right questions, repeated myself a bit, said "beautiful" way too much and it's way shorter than I intended it to be after editing... but it's real and it's honest and that's what we are all about.
Thank you to my friend, artistic inspiration and peer Nina for being a willing participant and for jumping into this new era hand in hand with me.
In this conversation, Nina Schmid speaks to the importance of creating a beautiful life with intentional choices so that you are nurturing yourself. She emphasises that being an artist also includes living artfully, and not just simply physically making visual art. That the muse can find us in the everyday moments of beauty if we make space for her to land.

What is Muse Fruit? It is the worthy pursuit of trying to make tangible something ephemeral. Inspiration. The why we do what we do, and for who? The ripeness of manifested vision, the fruit of our labours. An outward offering however short lived or preserved. This podcast is a place for the kinds of conversations I want to be having and hearing. Where I am speaking to people who inspire me, and about what drives them in their creative endeavours. I hope for this to be a place where sensitive creatives can feel a sense of community and camaraderie, to bond over shared drive and struggle. And hopefully, to leave you with some lingering sweetness.
Muse Fruit is hosted by Franco-Ontarian painter, illustrator and singer Vero Coya.
