  • The Answer Is Tyrone grew up in Pasadena California as a black man and he was the minority. He loved his friends and family, but he never felt he belonged anywhere. He started smoking crack as a teen and did not stop until he was in his mid-twenties. Tyrone got clean in Portland Oregon after being homeless for many years. In recovery, he acquired a bachelor’s degree, a career in human resources as a director, bought a home, and became a single father to his son. In this episode, he talks about his road to recovery, his all-time lows, and how he has created a path to healing along the way. Tyrone is not perfect and relapse is a part of his story but he shows us the only mistake one can make in recovery is not coming back.
