In this conversation with Stanford materials science Professor Leora Dresselhaus-Marais, we discuss how she got into science, her research and experience with dark-field x-ray microscopy, and her inspiration and development of the new "Metalheads" course at Stanford.
About Professor Dresselhaus-Marais: Leora Dresselhaus-Marais is an assistant materials science and engineering professor at Stanford University, with a courtesy appointment in the mechanical engineering department. She was a Lawrence fellow in the Lawrence Livermore National Labs Physics and Life Sciences Directorate. She got her PhD in physical chemistry at MIT, where she studied dark-field x-ray microscopy.
